As the dog days of summer are upon us, the cool refines of the wine cellar provide solice. None-the-less, there is work to be done to prepare for the upcoming winemaking season. Click here for summertime wine cellar activities.

From all accounts, development of the Californian grape crop is looking very good. We are expecting another exceptional grape crop, although the crop appears to be maturing at a faster pace than last year's. That places us at perhaps the first week of September for the first grape arrival. Frozen must following on or near the first week of October.

This month's piece is more of an editorial than an article. It discusses those winemakers living in areas that have limited or no access to quality grape products and what we are attempting to do to meet the needs of these unfortunate people. There is hope!

We are plugging away on our initiatives and hope to have most complete by wine season. One major accomplishment is our alignment with Brehm vineyards to assist Brehm Vineyards reach an eager East Coast market. We are excited about this, as it is part of our mission to reach more winemakers at a distance with high-quality grape products.
