Chilean Wrap-up
The 2007 Spring Chilean season was overall an overwhelming success. We again saw just great product quality and packing prowess of the Chileans. This demonstrates that two winemaking seasons is a reality and that means opportunity for home winemakers to improve their skills and for wineries to introduce another production cycle.
Small Winery Update
On another more serious note, this spring's weather and late frosts have resulted in the loss of many anticipated crops. The crop loss has been so severe in some locations that legislation changes have been enacted for 2007 to allow wineries to source 100% of their grape from outside of their respective state.
M&M is prepared to help these wineries by being a single point for the sourcing and shipping of fresh grapes and grape product. Sourcing grape doesn't mean having to use wine grape classifieds to purchase product from an unknown and perhaps unreliable source. With M&M, we've already done the screening.
