As the final wave of wine grape imports from Italy for the 2008 season, Ultra Premium frozen musts from the premier winegrowing regions of Piedmont and Tuscany will be arriving the 2nd week of November (current schedule). The flash frozen destemmed grapes will ship in 22.5L pails and are grown in vineyards whose grapes must be labeled as D.O.C and D.O.C.G when made into wine. Specifications from samples taken prior to freezing can be found here. Never before has the winemaking community, be it home winemakers or commercial, had such an opportunity.

Varieties will include Barbera (Piedmont), including a select amount of Old Vine Barbera from vines between 48 and 58 years old, Dolcetto (Piedmont), Nebbiolo (Piedmont of Barolo and Barbaresco fame), and Sangiovese (Tuscany - known for its role in Brunello, Chianti, and the Super Tuscan).
